In 2015, Jaya Iyer faced a dilemma. Her space-obsessed daughter dreamed of becoming an astronaut, but Jaya couldn’t find a single science or technology-themed shirt for girls. Recognizing a gap in the market, she leveraged her apparel industry expertise to create Svaha USA.
“We want to change that!” Jaya exclaims. “We are starting a revolution aimed at shattering gender stereotypes!”
Svaha’s mission is clear: prove that STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) concepts are cool and accessible to everyone, while celebrating femininity in STEAM fields.
Their product line? Functional dresses with thoughtful, STEAM-inspired patterns for women who refuse to choose between loving science and being feminine.
Despite its innovative concept and growing popularity, Svaha hit a plateau. “We were stagnating,” Jaya recalls. “Our previous agencies couldn’t drive predictable growth, and we struggled with inventory management due to uncertain sales volumes.”
